Fatima (Datoo) Bharwani
Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy Lond 2008
GDC No. 141352
Fatima qualified as a dental hygiene therapist from Kings College London. Upon qualification, she was selected to be a part of the first vocational training schemes in the country for dental therapists, receiving lectures from renowned professors in the field of dentistry.
Our hygiene team work closely with all the Moor Park Specialists, in particularly the Periodontal Team, to provide supportive treatments for improved oral health, along with looking after patients who have undergone complex restorative and implant treatment. We recommend all implant patients undergo both pre and post operative hygiene visits as this has shown a greatly increased implant success.
Careful analysis of the appointment duration for hygiene visits has shown that better care can be provided in maintaining gum health with a 45 minute appointment rather than the standard 30 minutes. It also gives adequate time for maintaining strict cross infection control.
All of our hygiene team undertake hygiene treatment using local anaesthetic, if required, and fissure sealants on children’s teeth.
Being meticulous and a perfectionist in personality, Fatima is keen to achieve optimal levels of oral hygiene. She believes in motivating her clients for a healthy mouth and smile.
